Honorary life membership may be awarded by the Board of Directors if the following requirements are satisfied: 

1. The honoree was a voting member of TASBO at the time of retirement with a minimum of 10 years as a voting member, and membership dues were current for at least one month of the year prior to retirement.  

2. Has had, in the opinion of the Board of Directors, a record of outstanding service in the educational profession.  

3. Approval of a majority of the Board of Directors present at a regularly called meeting. 

To be considered for a TASBO Life Membership, TASBO must receive:

• A letter from a member nominating someone
• A letter from a school administrator from the nominee’s school district (see form for details)
• The completed “Outstanding Service Criteria” form
