Last week, the Texas Education Agency announced the release of preliminary financial accountability ratings for school districts and open-enrollment charter schools.  Under the School Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas, also referred to as School FIRST, preliminary ratings may be appealed during a thirty-day window.  The deadline to file an appeal to the preliminary rating for your school district or open-enrollment charter school is July 30, 2012.
